Geraldine C. Baker

Geraldine worked at Walmart in the retail department for 23 years, serving her community with reliability and pride. Her years of service reflected her consistent work ethic and the respect she earned from those who knew her.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Minnie Combs; her son, Joey Knox (Betty); and 8 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Knox; her grandchildren, James (Lindsay) and Heather (Izzy); her great-grandchildren, Dallas, Blake, Ronan, and Declan; her sibling, Jessie (Earl), and her grandson Jared.

Geraldine enjoyed thrifting, gardening, Nascar, and being an Alabama fan—interests that brought her genuine happiness and connected her with others who shared her passions.

Visitation will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Fisher Chapel, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907, on April 13, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am.

A Funeral Service will follow at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Fisher Chapel, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907, on April 13, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am.

We ask guests to wear Nascar or Alabama attire. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Columbus Hospice.

She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
