
Born on an early spring day of March 8, 1970, in Seoul, Korea, Gloria Euijoung Ahn was the cherished daughter of Keumyoung Ahn and Youngsoon Jang. She spent her early days on the campus of Sahmyook University, where she was richly nourished in faith and character.
Gloria attended Mountain View Elementary School in Silang Cavite, Philippines, and Andrews Academy in Berrien Springs, MI. She earned her nursing degree at Sahmyook University and soon after received her Master of Science degree at UCLA School of Nursing.
Gloria's life was one of service and devotion to her family and patients. Her nursing career began at Tennessee Christian Medical Center in Madison, TN, and continued at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN. After relocating to California, she worked at a Kaiser hospital and later at Riverside Medical Center, serving the community as a nurse practitioner. With her compassion and dedication, she touched the lives of many individuals.
In the winter of 2005, Gloria married the love of her life, Samuel Pyo (표세준). Together, they built a joy-filled life, raising a wonderful son, Dustin (표수현) Pyo. Gloria's dedication and love for her family enriched their lives. One of her immeasurable joys was hearing Dustin play classical violin pieces.
Her kind spirit and pleasant personality radiated throughout her life. Many will also remember her love for hosting, especially her skillful culinary skills.
Gloria is and will be lovingly remembered by her husband (Samuel) and son (Dustin), parents, mother-in-law, Grace, brothers, Kyoshin and Kyoseung, brother-in-law (Henry), sisters-in-law (You Mi, Soojin and Mido), aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and many other friends and relatives.
A memorial service to celebrate Gloria's life was held on June 1, 2023, at the Georgia United Korean Adventist Church, 2965 Duluth Highway 120, Duluth, GA 30096. A funeral service was held on June 15, 2024 at the Riverside Korean Adventist Church, 4850 Jurupa Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A private burial service was held separately at the Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, CA.
