Funeral services for Mrs. Jinright will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 20, 2012 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus with Reverend Steve Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
Ila Garrett Jinright was born in Troy, Alabama to the late William Brady Garrett and Trecie Marie Harrell Garrett. In addition to her parents Mrs. Jinright was preceded in death by her husband William Carroll Jinright and a son, William Ted Jinright. Mrs. Jinright a resident of Columbus, Ga., was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church for over 50 years, and a volunteer with several organizations including programs at Porter Memorial Baptist Church, Vista Care Hospice and the Fox Community Center. She was retired from Bibb Mill with over 26 years of service. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two sons; Noah F. Jinright and his wife Frances, and James Ray Jinright, one brother; Laster Garrett, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice: 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA. 31909 in memory of Ila Garrett Jinright.
