Ingrid S. Morris, age 88, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2019. Ingrid was born August 25, 1930 in Bremahaven, Germany to her late parents, Margaretha Skroblies and Richard Skroblies. She grew up in a very horrific time in Germany and managed to survive.
Ingrid was a loving Christian mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family, her church and grandkids. Ingrid enjoyed watching baby animals play and taught her children to be good Christian people and parents. She will always be remembered as a God fearing mother, wonderful wife, and fun grandmother.
Along with her parents, Ingrid is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Morris; She is survived by; daughters, Joan Gilliland, Janice Washington and Debra Tarvin; grandchildren and great grandchildren; other family members and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, followed by a Celebration of Ingrid's Life at 12:00 PM, followed by a Committal Service at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Eddie Layfield officiating.
