Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. James David Howard, 58, of Columbus, GA, died Tuesday July 11, 2017. James was born February 25, 1959 in Fort Bragg, NC. He was a family man and had a heart of gold. Not only did he take care of his own family, James often assisted neighbors with running errands and taking them to doctor appointments.
He is survived by his mother Barbara Howard and three brothers: Wayman E Howard, Jr. and wife Sonny, Raymond E. Howard, and Shannon P. Howard; Nieces and Nephews B. J. DiGiacomo and husband David, Christine McCawley and husband Trevor, Lindsay Smith and husband Chad, and Stephanie Howard; several great nieces and nephews, Giana, Alyssa and Michael DiGiacomo, Julian and Jalie McCawley, Casen and Cullen Smith, and Caden Howard.
He is preceded in death by his father Wayman E. Howard, Sr., his maternal grandmother Mana Land, and nephew Matthew Howard.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July i8, 2017 and Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Macon Rd. in Columbus, GA. Graveside Service will be held the same day at Parkhill Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
