
James Michael Jasinski was born July 19, 1963 in West Allis, Wisconsin to Patricia and the late Louis Jasinski. The family moved to Columbus, GA in 1970. Jim attended public schools in Columbus. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Jordan High School where he was very active in the marching and symphonic band programs. He was an exchange student for 6 months in LaPaz, Bolivia. After graduation he was accepted to Auburn University where he was in the marching band for 4 years. He graduated from Auburn in 1985 with a degree in Aviation Management. He started working at Radio Shack where he met his wife Chris. He then went to work at TSYS holding several positions with 22 years of tenure there, finally serving as Director of Technical Operations. Jim truly was a friend to many and stranger to none. He had a great zest for living and brought a sense of joy when he entered a room. Jim is survived by his mother Patricia, wife Chris, son Michael, daughter Melissa, brothers Greg and Joe, nephews Jonathan, Kyle, Kevin, Lucas, Tyler, and niece Carley.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jeremiah McCarthy officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening beginning at 5:00 pm with a rosary to follow at 6:00 pm at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, GA 31907
