Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus.

Visitation for Mr. Johnson will be from 6-8PM, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the funeral home.

James “Jimmy” C. Johnson was born on February 12, 1943 in Columbus, GA., to the late James Edward Johnson and Juanita W. Johnson. In addition to his parents Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a step grandchild: Sydney Stanley. Mr. Johnson served his Country in the United States Air Force, he was retired from Bellsouth after 31 ½ years of service, and was a member of Cascade Hills Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Wanda Johnson, daughters: Leah (Tim) Arnold of Columbus, GA, Jamie (Sean) Martin of Canton, GA, grandchildren: Chelsey and Melody Arnold; Alyssa, Abby, Keegan and Zachary Martin, stepchildren: Mike (Jenny) Stanley of Alpharetta, GA, Connie Newsome of Columbus, GA, step grandchildren: Logan and Mason Stanley; Cole and Olivia Newsome, brothers: Steve (Susan) Johnson and Eric (Cindy) Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Cascade Hills Baptist Church Building Fund: 727 54th Street Columbus, GA 31904, or to Columbus Hospice: 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909, or to the Valley Rescue Mission: P.O.
