James Ronnie Walden, age 63, passed away on April 29, 2012. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Mr. Walden was born on April 22, 1949 to the late N.B. and Hazel Walden in Woodbury, GA. He served during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. Ronnie was retired from the City of Columbus as a Paramedic/EMT.
Survivors include his son, Brad Walden (Paula) of Midland, GA; two grandchildren, Natalie Brooke and Keely Elizabeth Walden; a sister, Helen Bumgarner (Darrell) of Hickory, NC and two nieces, Cheryl Melton and Tamara Evans (Martin), both of Hickory, NC.
