Jane Baggett Jones

Jane Baggett Jones, 78, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A visitation for friends and family will be one hour prior. A private family committal service will be on Monday.

Jane was born on September 25, 1946, in Columbus, Georgia to Grace and Holden Baggett. She grew up as a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Columbus, Georgia and then attended East Highland United Methodist Church and Wynnton Methodist Church with her husband, Ray. Majority of her employment was spent working in a bank where she retired as a bank teller from CB&T. She enjoyed going to “oldies” concerts, supporting her Auburn Tigers, and seeing her grandchildren participate in their sports and activities. Jane loved spending time with her family and friends while creating memories with them and she will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Jones and her sister, Judy Baggett. Survivors include her children, Kelly Jones Cameron (Vic) and Amanda Jones Bufford; her sister, Joan Baggett Parker (Steve); and her grandchildren, Madelyn Cameron, Lydia Cameron, Garrett Cameron, Carson Jones Bone, and Ansley Bufford.
