Family will receive visitors on Thursday December 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Reverend Dick Reese officiating. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
Jeanne was born in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Loette Frances McGinty Floyd and Dr. Cyril Franklin Floyd. After graduating from Central High School in Phenix City she went on to Judson College to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Jeanne married the love of her life, Thomas Bussey Cunningham in 1952. They called the Columbus area home. She was Christian by faith and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Jeanne loved music and she was a member of the Choir at St. Luke. She was a founding member of Adelphia Study Club and a member of other clubs to include Orpheus Club, Jaycettes of Columbus and Bridge Club. Jeanne had huge heart, she loved large and with all her spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved her.
She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her children: Mary E. Cunningham of Midland, GA, Cathy Cunningham Clark (Steve) of Suwanee, GA and Jeanne Cunningham Havard (Byron) of Navarre, FL; her very adored grandchildren: Catie Clark, Matthew Clark, and Sarah Havard. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and two sisters.
