He was the husband of Monette Arwood. They shared 46 years of marriage together.
He was born in Columbus, GA and was the son of John Cary Arwood, Sr and Sophronia Arwood. He graduated from Jordan Vocational High School and was employed at Wright Way Painting with his friend of 41 years, Tommy Wright.
He was a member of North Highland Assembly of God. Jerry was an avid wood worker. He could build anything with meticulous design and beauty. He was a passionate grandfather and spent countless hours at the ball fields with his grandchildren and spent many evenings playing catcher for Josie. Jerry was recently blessed with his first great Grandson, Riley Hill who sleeps in a baby bed that was handmaid by him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Monette Arwood, two daughters, Jamie Hines (Ben Hines), Stacie Hill (Clyde Hill), four grandchildren, Reece Hill (Lori Hill), Josie Arwood, Blake Hill and Cole Hines, great grandson Riley Hill and sister-In-law, Jeannette Frankfurt. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophronia Arwood, Brother, Cary Arwood and Sister Anne Price.
Visitation will be held on October 5, 2021 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
