A graveside service to celebrate Johnnie’s life will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, May 26, 2023 in Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Moore officiating.
Johnnie was born October 15, 1947 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Ralph Amanuel and Mary Lou Cannon Moore. He attended primary school in Columbus, GA, and graduated from Harris County High School. Johnnie also attended Columbus College. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Johnnie, along with his brother, David, were the co-owners of Nationwide Sports. He loved the outdoors. Among his favorites were traveling and Camping. Johnnie was a life-long Christian, and was dedicated to spreading the gospel. He was also a dedicated family man. Johnnie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. It was not uncommon to see Johnnie at various sports fields cheering his grandchildren on to victory. We will miss his presence daily, but his memory will live in our hearts forever.
In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Linda; his three daughters, Angie Davis, Pam Williams and her husband, Ron, and Holly Pirkle and her husband, Wade; his six grandchildren, Hunter Hartshorne, Garrett Williams, Lily Hartshorne, Josh Davis, Bailee Davis and J.T. Pirkle; one brother, David Moore; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
