Joseph Howard Maddox

Joseph Howard Maddox, age 43, of Hamilton, Georgia passed away on Thursday January 25, 2018. Joseph was born July 19, 1974 in Columbus, GA. to parents, Howard and Kaye Johnston Maddox. Joey graduated from Columbus High School where he played baseball all four years, and was very proud of his State Baseball Championship Rings. He was a family man who loved to spend time hunting, trips to the beach, grilling out, and just having a good time with his close family. He was a prankster and loved to play jokes on his children and wife. Joey was an avid Alabama football fan and rarely missed a game.

The family will welcome guests for visitation Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A Celebration of Joey's life will occur Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon RD, Columbus, GA 31907, followed by a Committal Service at 3:30 PM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Joey is survived by: his adoring wife, Elissa Maddox; parents, Howard and Janice Maddox and Kaye and Ray Floyd; children, Berkley Maddox, Tyler Maddox, and Madison Maddox; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Johnston; his brothers, Levi Maddox, Bradley (Chelsea) Griffin, and Josh (Kristen) Floyd; nieces, nephews, other family members and a multitude of friends.
