Joseph "Joe" Dock Parker, 80, of Cusseta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 07, 2016 at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 am, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7pm, on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
Joe was born November 18, 1935 to the late Bonnie and Elizabeth Betty Archie Parker. Mr. Parker was a veteran of the United States Army. After his separation from the Army, Joe worked for The Bibb Mill and then for Columbus Tech and security guard.
Survivors include: his wife, Lois G. Parker, two step-daughters, Wanda Brown Lenard and Leah Turner both of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Bonnie Parker of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Dawn Elrod Noland and Charles Dennis Turner III; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
