A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, July 9, 2012 at Northside Christian Church with Reverend Al Serhal officiating according to Stiffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus.
Mrs. McConnell was born September 21, 1936 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Alice Fuller Barfield. She worked as a florist for many years, and was a property manager for Woodruff Brown. We will miss her vibrant spirit daily, but her memory will live forever in our hearts.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McConnell was preceded in death by her husband, SGM (Ret.) Ronald G. McConnell.
Survivors include her son, Rick McMichael and his wife, Marian of Cumming, GA; two grandsons, Christopher McMichael and his wife, Kristin of Cumming, GA, and A1C Benjamin McMichael, Moody AFB, Valdosta, GA.
