Karen Sue Burchett

Life may have ended in her bed at home under hospice care in Alabama. But she started life as Karen S. Parr on Sugar Tree Ridge in Highland County, Ohio, as the second child to Willar R. & Irene (Ludwick) Parr (deceased) on October 18, 1946. Other family members included her older brother, Willard Jr. (deceased), younger sisters, Mary and Carol (deceased). She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1964 and married John Hubbard (deceased), from Lynchburg, Ohio. They moved to Portsmouth, Ohio area and to this union, two daughters were born, Tami and Andrea. Some time in late 70's the marriage fell apart and then in Aug. 6, 1981 she met Ricky Burchett which had the same fate as her that had two daughters from a previous marriage. They were married in Tucson, Arizona on 21 Feb. 1982. Their new life together has lasted 43 plus years. Additional family members include Tami & Joel Pierre, daughter, Amanda Nester (Scotty) and great grandchildren, Riley & Tyler, daughter, Mikaela & Brad Lambert, daughter, Andrea & Jamie Florence. Ricky's daughters, Amanda and five grandchildren and Heliena (deceased) and numerous nieces and nephews. I want to give a special thanks to Rev. Jamie Florence and Andrea for praying and helping Karen in finding her Lord and Jesus before her last hours came to her. She became very peaceful and found happiness in her Saviour's arms in the final hours of her life.

Karen was also a very talented artist and a warm hearted person who will be missed by her family and friends.
