Kathleen FitzGerald, age 91, resident of Columbus, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at her residence. Mass of Celebration will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, GA on Monday, September 24, 2012, 10 a.m. with Father Gerard Schreck officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Mrs. FitzGerald, daughter of the late Melvin Guy Faris and Mabel Gertrude Daniel Faris, was born August 23, 1921 in Columbus. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mrs. FitzGerald was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Francis FitzGerald. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara F. Wilson of Columbus; her son, Richard FitzGerald of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
