
Keith King, age 71, resident of Hamilton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 2 p.m. , according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. King, son of the late Kenneth Keith King and Ethel Mae Still King, was born November 15, 1945 in New Martinsville, West Virginia. He retired as a Deputy Sheriff from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, where he faithfully served the residents of Harris County for over 23 years. Prior to serving the citizens of Harris County, he served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era Conflict. Mr. King was Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Pate King. Mr. King is survived by two sons, Kenneth King and his wife Karen of Fort Worth, Texas and John King and his wife Sharon of Columbus; step-daughter, Karen Gayle James of Tuscumbia, Alabama; one sister, Crystal K. Johnson of Hamilton, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kaden King, Kacey King, and Karson King; two nieces, Diane Lehman and her husband Brian and Melissa Anderson and her husband Pete; one nephew, Christopher Johnson; several other relatives and friends.
