Kenneth was born on August 3, 1961 to the late Jessie Lee Spruell Jr. and Jerlene Meeks in Savannah, Georgia. He attended O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated in 1979. After high school, Kenneth joined the U.S. Army in July of 1980. After the army, Kenneth served as a jack of all trades, to include opening his own mobile detailing business, Pop and Son Mobile Detailing. In his later years, he then went on to work for Triangle Warehouse for 7 years.
He married the love of his life, Judith, and they created a family together. Kenneth and Judith got to spend 40 years of happiness together before his passing.
Kenneth was very artistic, he enjoyed painting, pottery, and drawing. He loved classic cars, spending his time washing cars, and combined his interest with business when he chose to own his own mobile detailing shop for many years. Another thing that people knew Kenneth for was the fact that he was stylish and he loved wearing a fedora. He loved jazz music, especially Herbie Hancock, Sade, and Fred Hammond.
As a man of faith, Kenneth thought that it was important to be welcoming to everyone; he was a big fan of family fellowship (even more than his love for the Dallas Cowboys). He was part of the Christian Church, New Generations Unified, for 5 years and he read his Bible religiously. His favorite verse was Luke 10:19, everyone knew that. He was a selfless man and would give you the clothing off of his back...just ask his son-in-law Ryan about the day he got a free shirt straight from Kenneth's back just because he liked it!
One lesson that Kenneth shared with everyone was, "If you're going to do anything, make sure you do it 110%. Finish what you say you'll finish for others."
Kenneth is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jessie Lee Spruell Jr. and Jerlene Meeks, as well as his brother Arthur Franklin.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Judith Spruell, his children Kenneth Spruell Jr., Dwayne Spruell, Sade Spruell Cassiday, son-in-law Ryan Cassiday, daughter in-law Kelly Ward, sister Pamela Spruell Brown, brother Terry Spruell, and half-sister Valencia Spruell and his nieces and nephews.
