Kenneth H. Wilkinson

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Dr. Brad Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilkinson was born October 2, 1936 in Blue Springs, AL, son of the late Tullis and Edna Campbell Wilkinson. He graduated from Eufaula High School where he was a standout football player, and graduated from Auburn University. He worked for Prudential Insurance Company and retired as Sales Manager after many years of service. Mr. Wilkinson was a member of the CLU and LUTC. He was also a member of Sherwood Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wilkinson was an avid gardener, loyal Auburn fan, and was known by many ball players as "Dr. Ken". Mr. Wilkinson was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkinson was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Crenshaw.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Julia "Judy" Wilkinson of Columbus, GA; his daughter, Kim Cason and her husband, Phillip of Fortson, GA; two grandchildren, Ben and Matthew Cason of Fortson, GA; one brother, Alex Wilkinson of Dothan, AL; sister in law, Jann McMahan and her husband, Harry of Columbus, GA.
