He was a native of Edwin, AL. Gene was a member of Statham First Baptist Church. He was a veteran serving in the National Guard and spent his career as a commercial painter and was the owner of Lawrence Price Painting. Gene loved his family, car shows and gardening.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, John Mack and Faydell Bledsoe Price; his wife, Joanne Chapman Price and a sister, Maxine Price. He is survived by two sons, John Price (Cayli) of Smiths, AL and Lawrence Price Jr. (Renee) of Huntsville, AL; two step-daughters, Nikki Manders of Buford and Deana Miller of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Charles Price (Charlotte) of Phenix City, AL; a sister, Gloria Price Davis of Aiken, SC; seven grandchildren, Tinsley Whitley (Chester), Harley Price, Matthew Price, Emily Woyke, Dalton Walker, Tyler Manders (Grace) and Katie Manders and three great grandchildren, Cayde Whitley, Audrey Whitley and Aiden Price.
The family will be announcing services at a later date.
