Lillian King McLeod

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Barry Ferguson officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. The family will receive friends Monday evening, October 29, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. McLeod was born January 23, 1920 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Wilbur L. and Lillie Davis King. She retired from the Muscogee School District after many years of service as cashier at Baker High School. Mrs. McLeod was also a faithful member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jacob McLeod and two brothers, John Robert King and Jack J. King.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann M. Hall and her husband, Gene of Columbus, GA; two granddaughters, Cindy Holland and her husband, Dave of Marietta, GA, and Amy Forbes and her husband, Chris of Hattiesburg, MS; three sisters, Margaret Jenkins, Ruby Mixon, and Bet Leachman; one brother, Fred King; three great grandchildren, Jack, Sage, and Charlie.
