She graduated from Newtown High School in New York, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from New York Institute of Technology. After high school she began working as a bank teller on Long Island. She had a successful career in banking, working her way to commercial loan officer at NatWest Bank in Manhattan.
Her real passion was interior design. She attended Willsey Institute of Art and Interior Design. She was always happy to give her advice on your home interior design improvements.
She moved to South Carolina continuing her career in banking, retiring from Regions Bank. Following her retirement she moved to Hamilton, Georgia to be close to her cousins. Family and friends were always important to her.
She loved to garden, cook and read. Her pets were a constant companion. She was happiest cooking for others, almost always with an Italian theme.
Rest in peace sweet Lorraine.
Lorraine is survived by her brother, Gerard Socci (Nona).
Donations can be made to the Arbor Day Foundation or the Harris County Humane Society, two charities she supported.
A memorial service for Lorraine will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:00AM in Fisher chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. A visitation will be held following the service in the Mill room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
