Louise Danford Jones February 5, 1915 - October 16, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA — Louise Danford Jones, 95, of Columbus, GA passed away on October 16, 2010. Mrs. Jones was born February 5, 1915 to the late William Thomas Danford and Mary Ella Lamb Danford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Jones; brothers, Jessie, Ewell and Horace Danford; a sister, Lavada Ditty; and one great-grandson, Evan Snellgrove. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of Morningside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughters, Delores (William F.) Snellgrove of Columbia, SC and Gloria (Raymond E.) Dodds of Columbus, GA; one sister, Doris Jackson of Renton, WA; six grandchildren, Gregory (Cindy) Snellgrove, William (Jennifer) Snellgrove, Matthew (McCabe) Snellgrove, Bradford Dodds, Benjamin (Theresa) Dodds, and Amy (Randy) Jernigan; and eight great-grandchildren, Scott Snellgrove, William Snellgrove, Lauren Snellgrove , Cameron Snellgrove, Taylor Dodds, Elizabeth Grace Dodds, Jared Jernigan , and Joseph Jernigan.
