Lucius O. Davis November 23, 1925 - October 1, 2010 CIOLUMBUS, GA— Colonel USMC (Ret) Lucius "Luke" O. Davis, 84, of Columbus passed away on October 1, 2010. He was born November 23, 1925 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Lucius and Tabitha Rodgers Davis. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lois Davis, daughter; Leslie Adams, brothers; Jesse and Knox Davis, sisters; Nellie Hanan and Sarah Roberson and a grandson; Noel Davis. Mr. Davis served his country in the United States Marine Corps retiring as Colonel after 29 years of service. Graveside services will be 11:00am, Friday, October 8, 2010 at Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Visitation for Mr. Davis will be 10:00am, Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Funeral Home. He is survived by his daughter; Karen Davis of Hawaii, a son-in-law Edward Adams of Macon, Georgia, grandchildren; Jennifer Davis of Hawaii and Jason (Jeannie) White of Warner Robins, Georgia, Amy (John) Harper of Warner Robins, Georgia, Eddie Adams of Macon, Georgia, sisters; Betty of Columbus, Dorothy of Fallenwaters, West Virginia and Nina (Dwight) Jasmann of Spotsylvania, Virginia, four great-grandchildren; Ally, Luke, A.J. and Christopher and several nieces and nephews.
