

Mack found his greatest joy in being a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. His grandchildren and great-grandchild were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. He also loved his many nieces and nephews, always taking pride in being part of a large, close-knit family.
Mack loved Jesus, and he also loved Georgia football—cheering on his Dawgs with enthusiasm throughout every season.
He is survived by his sons, Chris McGahee and his wife, Beth, and Brandon McGahee and his wife, Brandi; his grandchildren, Nathan McGahee and his wife, Annabeth, Faith McGahee, and Carson McGahee; and his great-granddaughter, Ivy McGahee. He is also survived by his brothers, Ronald McGahee, Norman Lynn McGahee, Randy McGahee and his wife, Lingyi, Keith McGahee and his wife, Teri, and Robert Andy McGahee, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Joan McGahee, and by Marlene McGahee, the late wife of his brother Lynn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary – Columbus, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Funeral services will take place the following morning at 11:00 AM, also at Striffler-Hamby, with a graveside service immediately following at Parkhill Cemetery.
