Mack Strickland III "Trey" died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday evening, August, 29, 2018. He was 57 years old and had valiantly battled cancer for several months. Trey was the son of the late Mack Strickland Jr. and Yvonne Graddy Strickland.
Trey was a graduate of Columbus State and Troy State Universities with degrees in music and education. He taught in the Muscogee County School District for many years. For the past 30 years he has served faithfully as pianist at Evangel Temple.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his aunt, Doris Clements and cousins Jerry and Sandra Clements. Trey is also survived by many relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
There will be no service but a Visitation will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA on Tuesday, September 4th from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Ministry of Evangel Temple, 5350 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA or the charity of your choice.
