Margaret Ellen Smith, age 56, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020. She was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 7, 1963 to David Whitener and Emma "Patsy" Sellers. A memorial service will be held at the family residence.
Marty was an adventurous, free spirited woman who lived her life to the fullest. She had a strong love for God and her dog, Pea Pie. She cherished all of her children and was known as a strong willed fighter. Marty loved to be around open hearted and spontaneous people. She taught her children about the real world and tough love. Marty always got a thrill out of playing jokes on her family and friends.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, David Whitener and Emma Sellers and former spouse, David Woodard. She is survived by her children, Laron Dakota Whitener, David Montana Woodard, Dameon Nevada Woodard, Savannah Jade Woodard and Teah Arizona Smith; spouse, Bobby Smith; five grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. Marty also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to cherish her loving memory.
