Marilyn Juanita Worrell Parks

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, on Friday, June 3, 2016 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA. Reverends Randy Worrell and Paul Thomas will officiate, interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday, June 3, 2016 in Edgewood Hall.

Ms. Parks was born on February 26, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Charles F. Wright and Julia Emory Wright Reeves. Ms. Parks enjoyed traveling with her family especially to Disney World, she loved her dogs and cats, her special pet was “Little Bit”

Survivors include three sons: Marvin “Bubba” and Frances Worrell of Seale, AL, Charles and Nancy Worrell of Waverly Hall, and Randy and Julie Worrell of Columbus, GA, two daughters: Susan and Johnny Watson of Seale, AL, and Judy and Lee Brady of Columbus, GA, one sister: Ann Heacker of Canton, GA, and one brother: Carol Coffey of Knoxville, TN., thirteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Columbus Hospice House for their care and compassion for their mother, also special thank you to Cheryl Smith and Denise Thomas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to; Columbus Hospice House 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909, in memory of Marilyn Juanita Worrell Parks.
