

Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2015 in Edgewood Hall at Striffler – Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. Dr. Jimmy Elder will officiate with a private interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Miss Jones enjoyed a career in sales with Kirven’s Department Store for many years and later working with her sister at Albright’s Flower and Gift Shop. She attended both Columbus High School and Jordan Vocational High School, graduating in 1937.
Miss Jones was a lifetime Baptist, baptized at Rosehill Baptist Church and later transferred to First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lamplighters Sunday School Class. She also served as co-chairman of The Altar Guild Committee.
Miss Jones was preceded in death by her parents, James Stacy Jones and Willie Thornton Jones; her two sisters, Agnes J. Albright and Lillian J. Jefferson.
Survivors include seven nieces and nephews, Glenn K. Albright, Jr (Patricia), James E. Albright (Caren), Agnes D. Albright, Susan A. Gaither (Larry), Robert H. Jefferson, Jr (Sue), Anne J. Schwoebel, and Frederick D. Jefferson (Marilyn); and numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregivers for the love, affection, and devotion extended during her last three years of dependency.
