Marty was born in Ozark, Alabama on March 24, 1943, a daughter to William Spurlock and Claudie Allums Spurlock.
She enjoyed many things in life; however what she enjoyed most was her family and spending time with them. She was a member of Glen Anthony Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Taylor; four sons, David Laughlin, Burt Laughlin, James Laughlin, and Terry Laughlin; a daughter, Tammy Renee Tutor; a brother, John Frank Spurlock; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Marty’s Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby’s Edgewood Hall, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA. Visitations will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and then on Tuesday, prior to services from 12:00 until 12:50. Interment will be in the Parkhill Cemetery.
