Mary Emily Smith

Mary Emily Smith, age 81, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020. A Celebration of Mary's Life at 2:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. Following the Celebration will be entombment in The Chapel of The Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery.

Mary was born January 11, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia to Fannie (Honey) Wallace and Raymond Harold Wallace, Sr. She was Methodist by faith and a Christian. Mary loved her family. She was very honest and straightforward. Mary enjoyed her pets and often laughed as she watched them play. She will be missed by those who loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by father Raymond Harold Wallace, Sr. and mother Fannie (Honey) Wallace; and brother Marion "Coot" Wallace. She is survived by her husband, Sam Kemper Smith; daughters Terry Lynn Western (Richard); and Janet Moudy; grandsons Janson Hinzeman, Zackery Moudy, Chaz Moudy, and Alex Western; and granddaughter Rachel Western.
