Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at parkhill cemetery in the chapel of the pines with Minister Woodrow “Sonny” Fling officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus.
Visitation for Mrs. Griffin will be from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
Other than her parents Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Griffin, Sr., and a sister, Janet Bowen.
Survivors include two daughters, Earnesteen Allen, Judy (Richard, Jr.) Allen, two sons, Richard (Diane)Griffin, Wayne (Janet) Griffin, three sisters, Inez Chandler, Lessie Von Croom, and Ellen Hatcher, and a brother-in-law Henry Bowen, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
