Melvin Franklin Chandler

Melvin was a 1965 graduate of Jordan High School. He retired from Steamatic Carpet Cleaning Company, Columbus, GA as a manager after thirty-seven and a half years of service. He was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and a proud Vietnam Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Fletcher-McCollister Post 135.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 48 years of marriage, Carrie Georgia (Gartman) Chandler; his loving daughter, Melody A. Price, his son-in-law, Brad Price of Pensacola, FL; his brother, Ronald Chandler, his sister-in-law, Angela Chandler of Phenix City; and his nieces; Julie Chandler and Amy Phillips.

Melvin’s Celebration of Life Graveside Service with Air Force Military Honors will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:30PM at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856.
