Michael Titus Hill, age 70, of Temple, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Michael was born in Columbus, Georgia to Marlene Denney Hill and Herman Titus Hill. Michael was a true southern gentleman, he loved God, his family, Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. He was many things in life, a firemen and a carpenter amongst other occupations. He was an avid Braves fan, a NASCAR fan, and a diehard DAWGS fan. More importantly he was a beloved and loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and most importantly a follower of Jesus Christ. Michael was a loving person with a big heart and would defend all those he loved at a seconds-notice. Michael was a firefighter with the Columbus Fire Department, he worked at Station 11 for a number of years. He not only served the fire department in Columbus, he was with the LaGrange FD and Orlando, FL FD, to name a few.
Michael is survived by his children: Michelle Daniels, Michael "Tim" Hill, Jennifer Hill Ford (Troy Ford), and Michael Hill; sisters: Gwynn (Hill) Scott Odell (Bland Odell) and Cindy (Hill) Hatcher-Patrick; grandchildren: Macey Hill, Troy Ford Jr., Olivia Ford, Gabriela Ford, Melihya Daniels, Caleb Ford, and Isabella Ford; and his great grandchild, Noelani Ford.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Herman Titus Hill and his mother Marlene Denney Hill; brother, Steve Hill; nephews: Jonathan Hatcher and Joey Scott.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Family and Friends will go in a procession from Striffler-Hamby into Parkhill Cemetery for a Graveside Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
