

Michael Moore, age 52, resident of Fairburn, GA, departed this life on Friday, October 15, 2010 at South Fulton Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Funeral services are scheduled at Galilee Baptist Church on Saturday, October 23, 2010, 2 p.m. with Reverend Franklin Holmes officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Michael, son of Eva Moore of Columbus and the late Charlie Adams, was born August 5, 1958 in Columbus. He accepted Christ at an early age. Michael was a faithful servant for the Lord. He attended public schools in Columbus and later moved away. Michael completed his studies from the Theology College of Atlanta and was later ordained as a minister. He was a member of the Mount Carmel Association and was a very active member, participating in various Ministerial Organizations across the city. Michael was an associate pastor to Philadelphia Independent Church of God in Christ and later formed his own church Abundant Love Christian Church, Waverly Hall, Georgia. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that was in need. Michael was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Fred Moore. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Angela Givens of Atlanta, Georgia; five sons, Michael Clarke, Lemuel and Mas’ud Moore of Atlanta, Georgia, Christian Moore of Macon, Georgia, and Marchiano Moore of Columbus; one daughter, Senethia Clarke; four brothers, Willie Moore and his wife Estella, Delong Moore and his wife Mary, Danny and his wife Joan Moore, and Garrett Moore and his wife Tonya; two sisters, Patricia Taylor and Thelma West and her husband Terry, all of Columbus; one sister-in-law, Deborah Moore of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; a very special family friend, Sandy Beauford and many, many friends and church families. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalms 121: 1-2.
