
Mrs. Mozelle Freeman Lesley peacefully passed away on December 8, 2011 at Columbus Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 3:00 PM. Private burial will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Lesley was born on January 29, 1923 to the late Deedy and Beedie Freeman in Heard County, GA. She was a longtime member of Morningside Baptist Church where she served in several capacities including Educational Director before moving to Ethan Allen Furniture where she retired as the General Manager. Mrs. Lesley was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell Lesley.
Survivors include her husband, Albert "Ed" Edwards; her children Cindy and Rick Alexander, Mike and Lynda Lesley of Brentwood, TN, Rhonda Bone, Karla and Allen Fuller; her grandchildren Robin and Brian Grier, Jay and Kellie Alexander, Courtney Lesley, Matt Lesley, Steve and Nicole Bone, Crystal Hostilo, Kyle Fuller, Kelsey Fuller; her great grandchildren Rachel Grier, Riley Grier, Holland Alexander, Julia Alexander, Lexie Hostilo, Skylar Fuller and Cayden Bone; and a brother Ted Freeman.
Mozelle was a special person and was loved by everyone she met. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and will be deeply missed. She and her husband, Ed, who were married for the past 17 years found each other late in life and had a special relationship filled with love and affection for each other.
