Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2011 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907 with Reverend Bob Hawkins officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Jones was born in Marianna, FL, on June 15, 1916 to the late Robert Hill and Myra Register Hill. She has lived in Columbus since 1973 and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Nesselrotte - Weekley and husband Robert of Columbus and Glenda Winstead of Mauk, GA. 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Macon Fulton Jones, daughter Myrtle Ree and son, Terry Jones.
