"Nan" Dorothy Crosby King

A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Alabama on March 29, 2016 at 3:00 PM central time with Reverend Jimmy Dukes officiating.

“Nan” was born in Canton, Mississippi, daughter of Emmett E. and Marjorie Tucker Crosby. She is preceded in death by her husband, Greene A. King, Jr. and is survived by their loving daughter, Sandra. She is also survived by one sister, Hazel Springsdorf, her brother-in-law, Garlon King and his wife Jean, a nephew and several nieces.

Nan was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Good News Bible class for over 33 years. Her passions were the close friendships with members of her church and Sunday School Class. They provided much joy, comfort and love. She was an avid reader all of her life, always content with a good book. She was an especially loving and caring wife and mother. Nan is remembered for her sweet smile, telling entertaining stories, and gift-of-gab.
