

Blanche S. Tyndall, 92, of Columbus, GA passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at The Oaks at Hampton in Cumming, GA. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church, 4170 Striplin Terrace Drive Columbus, GA 31909 with Reverend Rodney Porter officiating. A private interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Tyndall, daughter of the late Benjamin R. Stokes and Mary H. Stokes, was born December 22, 1922 in Pinetops, NC. She was a retired Educator for Fort Benning. Mrs. Tyndall was a member of Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church for 45 years where she was a member of the choir, the Fellowship Sunday School Class and was active with STAR, Striplin Terrace Active and Retired Seniors. She was also a member of the Wesleyan Group. Mrs. Tyndall loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing Bridge.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Tyndall is preceded in death by her husband Arnold E. Tyndall, brothers Luther Stokes and John Edward Stokes. Survivors include her three sons Sheldon Tyndall (Peggy) of Douglasville, GA., Lyndon Tyndall (Tawni) of Granada Hills, CA., and Kevin Tyndall (Kathleen) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Ryan Tyndall, Christopher Tyndall, Martin Lampman (Stephanie), Lisa Smith and Abraham Barragnon; great grandchildren Madison Tyndall, Karli Lampman and Trey Lampman.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 5900 River Road Columbus, GA 31904.
