Nell Davis Arnold

Mrs. Arnold was born January 27, 1923 in Slocomb, Alabama to the late Jack Davis and Sula Peacock Davis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; W.T. “Bud” Arnold, sisters; Julia Tyner, and Iris Walker, and a brother; Jerry Davis. She lived in Columbus, GA, for many years and moved to Pittsview in 1968. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Pittsview Baptist Church, she owned and operated Nell’s Beauty Shop.

Survivors include two daughters; Becky Fretwell and her husband Billy of Pittsview, AL, and Joy Player Underwood of Columbus, GA, four grandchildren; Paula Sasser, Chris Player, Lori Craft and Cameron Fretwell, eight great-grandchildren; Eric, Allen, Paige, Katie, Gentry, Heath, Mackenzie and Channing, and eight great-great grandchildren; Ezra, Landon, Logan, Jacob, Abel, Noah, Bethany Lou, and Olivia.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm, on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, with Pastor Mark Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery, followed by a reception in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby.
