

Paul Simpson Bloxom, III, age 52, of Columbus, died on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. A memorial service is scheduled in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907 on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. Inurnment will follow on Monday, March 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Parkhill Cemetery.
Paul was born June 1, 1961 in San Antonio TX, son of late Paul Simpson Bloxom Jr. and Hallery Daine Walker Bloxom. He attended and graduated from Spencer High School and was currently employed by LKQ (Keystone Automotive) as a Warehouse Stock Manager. Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Michael D. Bloxom.
He is survived by his wife Sue Bloxom of Columbus; children, Sheri Elizabeth Love (Tyrone), Matthew Wayne Avery, Paul S. Bloxom IV; grandchildren, Naddilyn Elizabeth Love, Tyrone G. Love Jr., Conner Wayne Avery, Kylan McKemie Avery; sisters, Shaye B. Creamer of Salem, AL., Kathleen Grace (Mansour) of Cairo Egypt; brothers, John D. Bloxom, Christopher S. Redden of Salem AL., Ben P. Bloxom (Margie) of Smiths AL.; sister-in-law, Jean Napier Walburg (Donald), Deborah Herndon (Matt), and Tina Napier; brothers-in-law, William F. Napier (Nancy), William L. Napier Jr. (Denise); Michael Napier (Amy) and Bill Hilbert (Pam), numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bloxom enjoyed fishing with his wife and friends and enjoyed gardening. He could work on anything mechanical and fix almost anything. Paul was a true friend to his neighbors and loved being a grandfather, he was affectionately known as “Paw Paw”.
