Paul Revere Greer

Funeral service will be Monday, January 27, 2014 in Edgewood Hall at 3:00 PM with Dr. Don Wilhite officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be; Eric Harvey, Rea Littrell, McKenzie Stringfellow, Danny Christian, Dougie Robinson, and Joseph Cunningham; Honorary pallbearers will be, Edward Christian, McKelle Robinson and Gaibriel Robinson. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the St. Elmo room at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, GA.

Paul Revere Greer was born May 26, 1938 in Columbus, GA to the late Robert and Laura Greer. He was a retired long distance truck driver and a handy man in his later years. Paul was preceded in death by brothers; Ed Melton, Eli Melton and Jewel Raymond Greer; wives Shirley Greer Bass, Gray Greer and Nancy Greer; daughter, Irene Bond; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He is survived by his wife Lennie Greer and his children he shared with Shirley Greer Bass; Patricia Jenness (Duane), Robert Greer (Angenell), Katherine Littrell and Paula Harvey; brothers, Bert Greer (Dottie), James Greer (Lorraine), Freddie Greer (Judy); sisters, Ruthie Swain (Benny Brewster), Gladys Taylor (Harold) and Bonnie Messer; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
