Peggy Joyce Jordan

Peggy Joyce Jordan, 82, reached her final destination on February 11TH 2018 under the loving care of her family, at her residence. She is now with her Jesus and her beloved husband Parks that she so longed to be united with. Her life will be celebrated Thursday February 15th at 2 p.m. at St. Mark UMC with Norman Dunlap, Scott Tucker & Andy Ginn officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside UMC in Phenix City, Al. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. & also 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.

She was the daughter of the late Daniel Wade Gilbert & Emmie Allen Gilbert. She was born October 5th 1935 in Columbus. She was a long-time member of St. Mark UMC. She loved serving the lord by cooking food for others, sending cards, teaching Sunday school and many other outreaches. She retired as a Medical Records Clerk from Cobb Hospital in Phenix City.

She loved gardening and growing beautiful plants and flowers. She also loved planting the seeds of Jesus Christ in others in everything she did and just like her plants she would nurture those seeds to help them grow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Parks W.. Jordan Jr. She is survived by her daughter Becky, she was her angel from God. Becky was her lifelong companion and in later years a tireless caregiver. She also had two sons and their wives Ward & Bett Jordan & Wade & Anita Jordan; Six grandchildren, Parks “Scooter” Jordan, Vanna Kelley (Chris), Jarrod Jordan, Brandon (Alice) Jordan, Corey Jordan, Christa Jordan & fiancé’ Kyle Johnson. Two great-grand daughters Hailey & Madison Jordan, several Sister & brother in loves and numerous friends.
