Rachel Virginia Johnson

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Reverend Mike McBride officiating. Interment will follow in Patrick Cemetery, Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 17, 1941 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Pascal Prather and Sara Catherine Comer Sweatt. She retired after working for many years in the printing business. Mrs. Johnson was also a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God. We will miss her presence daily but her memory will live forever in our hearts.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Johnson; her daughter, Karen Yvonne Lamb; her sister, Peggy Carr of Columbus, GA, and her brother, Jim Sweatt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Survivors include her sister Blanch Hodges of Nashville, TN; her brother, Jerry Sweatt and his wife, Elizabeth of Pittsview, AL; her sister in law, Sigi Sweatt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
