Raymond Joseph Lemieux

A Funeral Mass is scheduled on Monday, October 30, 2017, 11:00 am at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jeremiah McCarthy officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus.

Mr. Lemieux, son of the late Albert Adrienne Lemieux and Martha Weston Lemieux, was born May 5, 1931 in Chicopee Falls, MA. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, coming home to marry his beloved Joy Browning. Together, they traveled the world extensively and built two successful local businesses. As founder and the namesake of Ray Rents, Inc. he was a pioneer in the American Rental Association. He was a devoted Catholic, active member of St. Anne Catholic Church as well as numerous civic and professional organizations. He was an avid fisherman and had a love for hunting. His enthusiasm for life was contagious and he never met a stranger.

Mr. Lemieux is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joy Browning Lemieux, 3 sons, Michael Lemieux (Marlene), John Lemieux, David Lemieux (Jaime), 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Anne Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
