Renea Goodson Hancuff

Renea Goodson Hancuff, age 44, resident of Phenix City, AL., died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Sunday, April 11, 2010, 3 p.m. with Reverend Jimmie Hobbs officiating. Private interment will follow on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Hancuff, daughter of the late Jack Goodson and Mary Janice Garrett Goodson, was born January 29, 1966 in Columbus. She was a 1984 graduate of Shaw High School and attended Bethany Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL. Mrs. Hancuff was a faithful employee for Walgreens for the past eight years and had previously worked at Phar-Mor, where she served them faithfully for over 15 years. She is survived by her husband, Mike Hancuff of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Lynn Goodson of Columbus; two nephews, Garrett Goodson and Cody Cushman, both of Columbus; her best friend, Angie Brown of Smiths Station; her “sister,” Verlanda Ballard of Columbus; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Breast Cancer Association, 113 Redbud Lane, Martinez, GA 30907.
