Rita Ann Hendrix, 86, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral Services are scheduled on Friday, June 9, 2017 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am. Mrs. Hendrix final resting place will be in Clarendon Hills Cemetery Darien, Illinois.
Mrs. Hendrix, daughter of the late Everett Leibundguth and Gladys Francis Schaetzle Leibundguth, was born June 25, 1930 in Downers Grove, IL. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Northside Hospital in Atlanta for many years.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Emory S. Hendrix Jr.; sons, David Jerome Sutter, Harry Clark Sutter, and William Andrew Sutter. Mrs. Hendrix is survived by sons, Jon Matthew Sutter, Peter Thomas Sutter (Tammie); daughters-in-law, Brenda Sutter, Lynne Sutter; brother, Peter D. Leibundguth; grandchildren, Tripp Sutter, Kelli Morgan (Matthew), Tiffany LeComte (Barrett), Matthew Sutter (Amanda); three great grandchildren; and many other relatives and other friends.
