Funeral Services will be Friday, November 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM in Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. Family will receive friends before the service beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
Born in Knoxville, TN to the late Fred Edwin Davis and Rose Perrin Williams Davis, Bob had a career in finance and retired from Synovus after 29 years of service. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and faithful member of the choir. Bob had a passion for his family and helping others. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his faithful canine companion, Missey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jane Sue Harrell Davis; his five children: Mike (Vicki), Danny (Jan); Jenny Earley (Kevin); Kathy Crumpton (Murrel); and Roy. He leaves 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and his only sibling H. Alan Davis and his wife Jean of Orlando, FL.
