Roger R. Moore, age 84, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Sunday July 1, 2018. Roger was born June 22, 1933 in Many, Louisiana, to his late parents Mildred Ruth Moore and Johnny Lee Moore. He joined the US Army in 1955 and served his country proudly in Korea. Roger was employed by The State of Georgia as a Rehabilitation Counselor and had two Masters Degrees. He loved the Lord, Bible study, his church, his wife of 46 years, and his children. Roger loved to joke around and tease his family and friends and taught them to listen, be patient, and not take themselves too seriously. He will be remembered as a man who always lifted other people’s spirits. Friends say that Luke 10: 30-36 describes him perfectly.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Hwy 165, Seale, Alabama, with Pastor Jerome Cannon officiating, followed by a burial at 3:00 PM.
Roger is survived by his wife, Judy Moore; daughter Cordelia Ziegler; and son Roger Moore.
